The Rice Residence remodel and addition transformed an existing 1,700 square foot, single story tract home into a two story 3,064 square foot residence.  New exterior spaces included a courtyard off of the master suite, a new front entry porch and a covered sleeping porch on the second floor.  The remodeled residence was designed as a hybrid style, part New England farmhouse (where the owners had grown up) and part northern New Mexico territorial (where they spend much of their time today).
